Fig. 58 Candidate Detection overview

The purpose of Candidate Detection is to identify potential good parts within the picking area. These parts are referred to as candidates and are used in the following steps of the wizard. This process involves training an algorithm to recognize what qualifies as a candidate. Once trained, the algorithm can automatically detect similar parts as candidates.

At the end of this step, the desired parts to pick should be surrounded by a green rectangle (referred to as a bounding box), with minimal detection of non-desired parts.
